Enjoy a morning of entertaining art instruction while sipping mimosas, eating pastries and creating masterpieces in The Hermosa Inn’s stunning desert gardens. From enthusiastic beginners to emerging professionals, accomplished artist Carrie Curran will teach, inspire and guide guests on an artistic journey while using acrylic on canvas to vividly express interpretations of the Arizona desert impressionistic style while learning to gracefully handle the medium. Cost: $75/class, includes all supplies mimosas and pastries.

Wine Wednesdays at Last DropComplimentary Wine Tasting at LON’s | Tuesday, March 4 from 5 – 7 p.m.
Every first Tuesday of the month from 5 -7 p.m. LON’s at the Hermosa will be hosting a complimentary wine tasting featuring two of the 500+ varietals on their award-winning wine list. Guests will receive 1-2 oz. pours of two different varietals, which will also be available for sale at a discounted price of 25% off per bottle. LON’s Sommelier Bill Parker will also be on hand to make suggestions and answer any questions regarding the wine program.

Grilling Fish_LON'sArt of Cooking Class: Grilling Fish | Saturday, March 8 from 12 – 2 p.m.
Join LON’s Executive Chef James Ducas to learn how to transform a grill into a Four Diamond fish-cooking platform. Featured dishes include fish tacos, smoked salmon on cedar planks and grilled vegetable slaw. An on-site market will also feature ingredients for sale that were used in the cooking class, as well as produce from local farmers and other products used in the LON’s kitchen, including house-made granola, trail mix, herbal truffles, Himalayan salt rocks and artisan salts.Cost: $30/person

Mike ElsassArtist in Residence Workshop feat. Mike Elsass | Saturday, March 15 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Back by popular demand, internationally acclaimed artist Mike Elsass returns for a second season to personally guide guests to use color and texture in the Hermosa’s outdoor gardens to paint their own abstracts on both canvas and steel. Elsass will  teach how to let go of control and notions of “what is right” in order to paint what is natural at that precise moment – all while drinking wine and enjoying snacks from the LON’s culinary team. Cost: $75/person (reservations must be made by Friday, March 14)

Artist in Residence Brunch feat. Mike Elsass | Sunday, March 16 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
For those unable to attend the Artist in Residence Workshop with Mike Elsass on the 15th, can enjoy his company and a painting demonstration during this Artist in Residence brunch at LON’s. The demo will include his signature work of abstract painting made on sheets of steel. Cost: complimentary with the price of brunch

Mixology Class | Sunday, March 16 from 2 – 4 p.m.
A crash course in cocktails, Last Drop’s Spirit Guide Travis Nass will call class to session promptly at 2 p.m. and will feature a different liquor each month. From its history and the styles of liquor to the various brands and recipes, guests will not only get a taste of two cocktails but a veritable knowledge on the liquor of choice, along with ample time for Q&A at only 10 people per class. Cost: $30/person

Wine Dinner feat. Jordan | Wednesday, March 19 at 6:30 p.m.
This wine reception and four-course dinner prepared by the LON’s culinary team will feature wine pairings from Jordan Vineyard & Winery. Based in Sonoma County, this family vineyard set the standard for California-produced world-class wine and hospitality. To this day, they are best known for their cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay varietals, which started the vineyard years ago. Cost: $125/person

    I drive past the Hermosa nearly every day, and have had the good fortune to stay there once or twice. In your pulldown on the history of the Last Drop Bar, I noticed that you say the property is bounded by Squaw Peak on the north and by the canal on the north. The Arizona Canal is to the south of the inn. Call me fussy … 🙂
