It’s hot out. Really hot…as in reaching 115-degrees hot. So in an effort to escape this heat (in our minds at least), we’re sharing some of the coolest resorts around the globe.

Enjoy the respite:

At the Igloo Village Kakslauttanen in the Arctic Circle of Finland you can literally sleep in an igloo; but you get your choice of either a glass igloo where you stay warm and cozy, or a snow igloo, where they provide a down sleeping bag, woolen socks, and a hood. For more info, or to book a stay, go here.

Bonus: stay between the end of August and April and you’ll get to witness the Aurora Borealis, or the Northern Lights.

Prefer warm weather activities in cold weather locales? Enter LeCrans Hotel & Spa in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. With a view of the Alps and Mont Blanc, choose from one of many themed suites for a glimpse of luxury in different regions of the globe, and did we mention the swimming pool? For more info, or to book a stay, go here.

Hoshino Resort Tomamu in Japan is a 200-room ski resort complete with ice village, including an ice bar, ice chapel, ice restaurant and skating rink. And all nearby the best slopes. For more info, or to book a stay, go here.

hotel-le-kilimandjaro-spa-exteriorHôtel Le Kilimandjaro & Spa is a winter wonderland located at the top of a mountain range in Courchevel, France. Ski in and out of the hotel lobby, and instead of a suite opt for a chalet, which includes your own ski room for storage of equipment, butler service and boot warmers. For more info, or to book a stay, go here.

Prefer a quick getaway from AZ for cooler temps? Head north to Las Vegas, NV and grab a cocktail (or two) at the Minus5 Ice Bar located in both Mandalay Bay and Monte Carlo Resort and Casinos. For more info, visit minus5experience.com.
