Great Gatsby Elegance
Every bridal magazine you pick up will most likely feature some style or facet of this 1920’s style. From candelabras and white-glove waiters to feathers and big bands, Great Gatsby will be a big theme for weddings in 2014.
LOVE in Lights
Marquees are becoming a big trend – be it the happy couple’s initials, the word love or your new last name. Anything life-size and in lights make one dramatic backdrop to your big day.
Ruffles & Metallics
Not for the dress…or the venue, but the cake. Texture is at the forefront of cake-buying decisions this year. Ruffles and frills, metallics that shine…anything to up the ante and make the cake fit the theme of the day.
Dainty & Delicate
While this might describe the bride, you’ll also see wedding invitations becoming daintier and more delicate. Lace, custom calligraphy, floral prints and anything smaller than your average 5×7 are what’s hot for invites this year.
Forgo Favors
Many brides are choosing to skip favors altogether. Rather than let guests leave with something they may never use, happy couples are opting for late-night snacks and donations to a worthy cause in lieu of favors.
