Recipe: Pepperoni Pizza

pepperoni pizzaFrom Oct 10 – 20, we’re giving a “Pizza Our Heart” and $1 of every pizza sold at Last Drop at the Hermosa to KidsRead USA, a non-profit dedicated to buying books for elementary school children in poor neighborhoods.

To celebrate this great way of giving back to our community, we’re also giving you the recipe for our pepperoni pizza.

Last Drop’s Pepperoni Pizza

INGREDIENTS (In Order) QUANTITY
Pizza Flour 2+ cups
Water 1 cup
Yeast 1/4oz
Olive oil 1t
Sugar 1T
Salt 1t
Pizza sauce 3 oz
Sliced mozzerella 4 oz
Sliced Pepperoni 4 each
Parmesean, shredded 1 oz
Basil leaves
oregano leaves

Procedure:

1. Mix all dry ingredients, and oil, and mix. Slowly add water, and continue to mix on low speed for 8 minutes.

2. Place in oiled bowl, and allow to rise to double the original size.

3. Punch the dough down, and portion into 2 portions.

4. Roll out dough on a floured work surface.

5. Place a pizza stone in an oven and pre-heat to 500°.

6. Brush olive oil on pizza dough and top with pizza sauce.

7. Next lay mozzerella, pepperoni and parmesan.

8. Place in hot oven for approximately 5-7 minutes.

9. Remove pizza and cut into 6-8 slices and top with oregano and basil leaves.
