When NOT to Fly

airplane-wallpaper-3According to a recent article by USA Today, there are two days on which one should NEVER fly:

The Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
The Sunday after Thanksgiving.

Because these are the most popular travel days of the year, they are also the most expensive.

Writer Rick Seaney reports that, “If you fly at Thanksgiving but avoid the traditional Wednesday-Sunday itinerary, savings can average from 30% to 50%.”

So what are the BEST days to travel, you ask? According to another USA Today article, any Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday will create a more affordable itinerary (see above 30-50% remark).

So as you prep for upcoming travel plans this holiday, remember which two days to avoid and which three days will be easier on the wallet.
