Event season is in full swing here at The Hermosa Inn, as well as throughout the Valley, making it hard to choose from the array of happenings. But with this list, we’re hoping to make those decisions a little easier. Here’s a brief synopsis with more details below:

1. We’re throwing an Aarti Paarti with Cooking Channel Host and Food Network Star Aarti Sequeira
2. You can hang out with artist Jill Friedberg for the price of brunch on LON’s gorgeous patio.
3. There will be a Pop-Up Wine Dinner but you need to join “The Inn Crowd” to find out when and who the winemaker will be!
4. Learn how to cook an entire holiday meal on the grill with Chef Ducas.
5. Learn to paint like Van Gogh at Mimosa Mornings with Carrie Curran Art Studio.
6. Mix rum cocktails like a master mixologist with Spirit Guide Travis Nass.
7. Say thanks over Thanksgiving dinner at LON’s.

Friedberg in StudioArtist in Residence Brunch feat. Jill Friedberg | Sunday, November 2 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Guests are invited to enjoy an a la carte brunch at LON’s featuring special guest and artist Jill Friedberg. Her photography and painting meet a multitude of recycled materials that she has collected for over 20 years. The transformation of scraped palette paint, co-mingled with such diverse repurposed materials as antique fabrics, snake skins, glass, wooden and metal beads and handmade papers are found in her works. Cost: complimentary with the price of brunch

Aarti-Paarti-COVERArtist in Residence Dinner feat. Celebrity Chef Aarti Sequeira | Sunday, November 9 at 6:30 p.m.
Celebrity Chef Aarti Sequeira, host of Taste in Translation on The Cooking Channel, winner of The Next Food Network Star, and guest on Food Network shows including Chopped, and Iron Chef America Countdown comes to LON’s to kick off the Artist in Residence dinner series. This exclusive event will begin with a meet and greet wine reception with Aarti, and a four-course wine-paired dinner prepared by the LON’s culinary team, followed by a salon-style evening where she will share her secrets and “how-to’s” on cooking with traditional Indian flavors and demo a recipe from her newly released cookbook AARTI PAARTI, An American Kitchen with an Indian Soul. Cost: $99++/person

LON's Wine CellarPop-Up Wine Dinner | Date, Time & Winemaker TBA
This season, LON’s award-winning wine program will be taken to the next level with a Pop-Up Wine Dinner series. Winemakers will be announced just prior to each event, where guests have the opportunity for an intimate evening in LON’s underground wine cellar with a highly acclaimed winemaker over a multi-course dinner, paired with varietals from the featured winery. Details: guests will need to become part of “The Inn Crowd” to receive notifications on the upcoming dates/times/wines to be featured by calling LON’s at 602.955.7878. Cost: $150 inclusive per person

Enjoy a holiday cooking class at LON’S and Last Drop at the Hermosa, as guests learn how to cook an entire holiday meal on the grill. Join our culinary team as we fill the neighborhood with scents of traditional holiday cooking. Cost: $35/person

Van Gogh Still Life_Carrie CurranMimosa Mornings w/Carrie Curran Art Studios feat. Van Gogh | Saturday, November 15 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Enjoy a morning of entertaining art instruction while sipping mimosas, eating pastries and creating masterpieces in The Hermosa Inn’s stunning desert gardens. From enthusiastic beginners to emerging professionals, accomplished artist Carrie Curran will teach, inspire and guide guests on an artistic journey while using acrylic on canvas to vividly express interpretations of Van Gogh’s still life while learning to gracefully handle the medium. Cost: $75/class includes all supplies, mimosas and pastries

Tiki Cocktails_Last DropMixology Class: Rum | Sunday, November 16 from 2 – 4 p.m.
From its history and the styles of rum to the various brands and recipes, Last Drop’s Spirit Guide will be hosting a two-hour crash course on rum-based cocktails. Guests not only get a taste of two cocktails but a veritable knowledge on the liquor of choice, along with ample time for Q&A at only 10 people per class. Cost: $30/person

Join family and friends for a Thanksgiving meal at LON’s at the Hermosa, as the culinary team creates a multi-course meal featuring contemporary Southwestern takes on traditional holiday favorites. Cost: $75++/person |Kids ages 5-12: $25 | Kids under 4: free
